Epublys for Android
Seven of this website's tools, running on the phone. Every conversion happens on the device and the file is never uploaded, so the tools work with no connection at all. Free on Google Play.

What it does
The app carries seven of the website's tools, running the same engine code on the phone.
- EPUB to PDF: page size, margins, font and size, page numbers.
- PDF to EPUB: chapters detected, every N pages, or one chapter, with image extraction.
- Merge: several EPUBs into one book, with a table of contents.
- Split: one EPUB per chapter, or a chapter range as one EPUB.
- Compress: repack the EPUB, optionally dropping the assets nothing references.
- Validate: check an EPUB's structure and see what is wrong.
- Edit metadata: title, author, language, publisher, series, subjects, cover.
A tool's output goes straight into the library. A split with no chapter range lands as one book per chapter.
The reader
Reads EPUB and PDF. Paged or scrolling, light or dark, adjustable type size and line height. It remembers where you stopped, and in an EPUB you can highlight passages and attach notes to them.
The library
Import books from the phone, search and sort them, open them in the reader, and send a tool's output back into it.
What it costs
The app is free. There is no daily limit and no file-size tier: the size caps are set by what a phone can hold in memory, not by what you pay, because nothing is uploaded. A merge takes up to 10 files. From time to time, after a conversion or after opening a book from the library, a Premium offer appears; dismiss it and keep working.
Epublys Premium is a one-time purchase on Google Play. It removes that offer for good, raises the merge cap to 50 files and takes the branding off the output. The price is the one Google Play shows on your phone.
A Pro sign-in from this website unlocks the app the same way: sign in with the account you subscribe with, in Settings, and nothing more is charged. Google Play Premium is a one-time purchase and website Pro is a subscription. A device-only Play unlock stays on that phone; when a signed-in purchase or restore is successfully linked, its account Premium is recognised on other devices and the website too. What it needs
Android 7.0 or newer. The app reads only the files you pick in the system file picker or open with Epublys, and requests no location, contacts, camera or background permission.
Privacy
The Privacy Policy has a section on the app. The short version:
- Your files stay on your phone. Every conversion, edit and validation runs on the device itself. No book or converted file is ever uploaded to Epublys or to any third party.
- Optional account. The app works fully without one. If you sign in, your email address is sent to Epublys to unlock features tied to the account's Pro subscription or successfully linked Google Play purchase.
- Optional crash report. If the app crashes it can send an anonymous diagnostic report, with no file, filename or path in it. It is off in one tap in Settings.
- Sync, with account Premium. When the signed-in account has a current server-backed Premium entitlement, from Pro or a successfully linked Play purchase, the app syncs the title and author of the books you open, your reading position, and your highlights and notes, so they follow you to the web reader. Never the file itself.
