What exactly is in the download?
A ZIP with one Markdown file per chapter (each with YAML frontmatter — title, book, author, chapter number), an index.md with the book's metadata and a linked table of contents, and an images/ folder with the pictures your chapters reference.
Does it work with Obsidian?
Yes — that's the primary use case. The output is plain CommonMark with standard relative links, so you can unzip it straight into a vault and every chapter, link, and image resolves. Nothing proprietary, no plugin needed, works on Obsidian mobile too.
What formatting is preserved?
Headings, paragraphs, bold and italics, lists, blockquotes and images are converted to Markdown. Hyperlinks retain their text, and complex layouts are simplified. Review tables and illustrations in the exported chapters.
What is the file size limit?
Free users can convert EPUBs up to 5MB — that covers most text-heavy books. Pro raises the ceiling to 30MB per operation.
